Fallout 4 fans finally have something new to check out in the Wasteland. Those who have put hundreds of hours in should rejoice at the chance to try out the robot customization that the Automatron DLC offers. However, some have been having trouble just getting the DLC to actually download and install, so here’s a qucik guide to help you out.
The Vault-Tec DLC was one of the three workshop DLCs added to Fallout 4. The expansion was well-received because most players generally enjoyed building their own personal vault to live in. Who wouldn't want to perform their own experiments? Fallout players finally got to live out their dream on this adventure. This last bit is important, as I had to do it for both the Automatron DLC and the Fallout 4 Season Pass. If you are playing Fallout 4 Automatron on Xbox One then do the following: From the Home screen, hold RT and press A to navigate to the My games and apps menu. Navigate to Fallout 4 and press Menu. Select Manage game. The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices! Far Harbor, the latest DLC coming to Fallout 4, is set to release at midnight on May 19. Remember that Far Harbor, like the other DLC packs before it, will not automatically download, so you’ll have to take action if you want to get gaming as soon as possible.
For this we referenced Bethesda’s own how to on the topic, giving players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC hints as to how to download and install the Fallout 4 Automatron DLC. The steps are pretty easy, but there have been problems along the way that give some players a lot of trouble.
If you are playing Fallout 4 Automatron on PC via Steam then do the following: Log in to your Steam account. Navigate to Library. Right-click on Fallout 4. Select View Downloadable Content. Ensure the Install checkbox is enabled for the Automatron DLC to begin the download. Note: you may need to uncheck and the re-check the box to ensure the download begins. This last bit is important, as I had to do it for both the Automatron DLC and the Fallout 4 Season Pass.
If you are playing Fallout 4 Automatron on Xbox One then do the following: From the Home screen, hold [RT] and press [A] to navigate to the My games and apps menu. Navigate to Fallout 4 and press [Menu]. Select Manage game. From the Ready to install column, select the Automatron add-on to begin the download.
If you are playing Fallout 4 Automatron on PS4 then do the following:From the PS4 menu, navigate to your Library. Navigate to Fallout 4 and press [X]. From the product page, select Related items. Select My add-ons. Select the Automatron add-on download icon on the left to begin the download.
Once you have the Fallout 4 Automatron DLC, you might need help getting started on the mission. Check out this guide for help there.

Okay, as Fallout fans you know we all enjoy at least a little bit of cut and paste for our games. What if, we could return to the Commonwealth, and go beyond, bridging the gap between Boston and Bar Harbor?
I Present to you, Fallout 4: Live Free Or Die.
Take: ‘Appalachia’ and call it: ‘New Hampshire’ I’m sure it would be a hell of a lot of work, but I wouldn’t expect something like this until like after a Starfield release.
I think that would really be a great evergreen kind of addition to Fallout and as far as epilogues go, it can be just about anything you want following the logical future of any ending chosen where the Vault Dweller is building up settlements, give the guy a trail to blaze thru the woods north of the commonwealth. They could add like 10-20 major population centers in between boston and bar harbor and just dot them around a rendering of new hampshire.
I’m not saying call the exact map of appalachia new hampshire, i’m saying take the woods, multiply them by three, and throw some buildings together in a few places and call them like manchester, (NORTH/NH) Concord, Augusta(oh yeah maine too technically) Portland… etc like just towns in those cities. I think adding updates to AI/Settlement defense would be so great. Have a few voiced npcs at every settlement, and up the settler count to like 50/100, and let us build actual makeshift towns in the woods!
background logic: by the time i would expect this, fallout would belong to microsoft, they would want to boost sales on their investments, and short of fast tracking fallout 5 i think this would be a great use of resources on a game that did win game of the year, and should definitely have a future on next gen consoles especially if the maker of one of those consoles might have exclusive rights to producing a remastered set of all of the games anyways due to new oversight? Why not add something in for a 10 year Fallout 4 anniversary as a way to subvert the traditional remaster? I’m just trying to put you in my head on this. Just ideas about potential of microsoft deal set to sign in like what june 2021?
